Bio

She was born in Mississippi and lives in Alabama. She went back to school late in life, graduated with a BA in Anthropology from University of Alabama.  Reading is like nectar from the Gods to Linda and writing is just plain fun. Her great, great grandfather is Daniel Boone and she found that out by researching her family herself.

Linda

Her fourth book, “My Angel, My Light As Darkness Falls” really meant more to her because she worked on it for such a long time and because Linda was determined to make her writing much better than it had been.  Kim Richards and Sally Odgers from Eternal Press are inspirations for her. Barbara Metzger, one of her favorite authors gave Linda encouragement too.  Linda loves writing and hopes to continue to do it for the rest of her life along with anything she can do for her God and children.

“What I said to your brother, lassie, was true. You are the

sweetest flower here, and so tiny. I thought you were a dream

when I saw you. Your brother looks a lot like you. Do ye be twins?”

“Yes, Your Grace, we are fraternal twins although Mike is so

much larger than I am.”

“Well, this be a real funny coincidence. I have a twin too. We

are like two peas in a pod, lassie.”

He laughed and Prudence lost her heart. His smile radiated

with a white brilliance and was so real, especially when she saw

the twin dimples in his handsome cheeks. The dance was coming

to a close and Fearghass steered his catch into the doors that led

to the balcony.

Pru had no time to protest before he had her hidden behind the

door and took her into his arms. She saw his mouth descending to

hers as if in slow motion and licked her lips. It was like a dream

come true. His lips, hard and smooth, captured hers, stopping the

chaos of her mind. Pru’s heart hammered wildly. Suddenly, it was

only the two of them and no one else, except the kiss.

The ballroom sparkled with the most fantastic candelabra

that Pru had ever seen. It looked like thousands of twinkling

stars all floating on a beautiful night sky. Flowers of every color

and luscious scent decorated the hallways and alcoves. The delicate

champagne glasses were so exquisite and fine that Pru was

afraid the one she held might shatter in her hand. The night air

had a cool breeze but it felt just right as it floated on the air from

the doorways and windows in the gigantic ballroom. Sounds of

laughter and good humor were a little too loud or a little too shrill

maybe, but she would not let that worry her.

What a wonderful time she was having after all the horrible

rain and dullness of the last few days. The orchestra played the

waltz and she looked at her dance card for her partner. Oh, she

had not forgotten who it was, but she wanted to appear that she

had.

It was the big handsome Scot Fearghass MacDonald the Duke

of Somerled. He crossed the dance floor, headed for her side as she

glanced around to find him. How powerful his shoulders looked

and he moved like a big cat. He was not dressed in regimentals but

wore a dark blue velvet jacket and darker blue breeches with white

stockings and white cravat. His eyes had twinkled at her when he

asked for the first waltz. He caressed her hand with such a delicate

kiss, shivers raced down her spine. Then he turned to her

palm and brushed the inside with his tongue. It sent larger chills

down Pru’s back just thinking about it. How was she to manage

the dance with this sophisticated and elegant man? Pru trembled

all over with anticipation. She was at her first ball, after all.

She had not even had a come out yet. Oh no! She felt, rather

than saw, her handsome brother by her side. He grabbed her elbow

and looked into her eyes. He saw into her soul and always

knew how she felt. Michael David Densington White, sixth Earl

of White, was a beautiful sight in his regimentals and gold braid.

Her twin brother whispered into her ear his fair warning.

“Pru, you cannot be serious, this duke is too old for you and

too experienced. You are very young and I let you come just to be

obliging after your confinement with this horrid rain.

Interview

1.        In three days, all power will go off, everywhere for a very long time.  What will you include in your author survival kit?   My Nook, matches, candles, gas lantern, 10 full gas cans, labtop, cellphone, carton of pens, pencils, paper and a case of twinkies, 4 cases of water, case of Dr. Peppers, a bottle of wine, 4 gowns, my comfortable bathrobe, houseshoes, and flyswatter and spray, along with my little portable gas powered generator.
2.       Where did the idea for the work you are promoting arise? I was reading a book on the last battle with Napoleon and thought how horrible it was with 45,000 dead in one field and there were several fields and I wondered how I would feel with my loved ones in that battle.  Also I thought wow, what a great place for a vampire to be.  After all these boys did not all die at once.  Some took days to die and if a vampire was around well, he could feast and make an army for himself.  I think I will use this in another book with another vampire tale.  Then, there would be ghosts around the place too and a lot of other nasty fellows to add spice for this poor little innocent girl.  The French was the enemy and what better lover than a French Vampire but that is telling too much.
3.       What do you like to read? Regency Romance, Scifi, Paranormal and Regency Romance.  I get a little stuck on Regency Romance.
4.       Tell us about the most exciting place you have ever visited? Saudi Arabia.  I lived there for 5 years.  It was an experience back in the late 70s.  Cultural shock set in 6 months after I was there and it was an experience too.
5.       What is the most mundane, day to day, thing you can share about yourself? I love to watch the sunsets and hug my grandkids.
6.       What scares you the most? Tornados,  especially after April 27th, 2011.  My home was in the path of the Tuscaloosa, AL tornado and just missed it.  I gave a special dedication to the tornado victims our 1 year anniversay is this April.
7.       Tell us anything but keep it G rated.  All romance novels remind me of one of my husbands. I have been married four times. Lol  So I am not going to say which one.  I think that everyone needs romance in their lives and I like to keep my ladies innocent and let them grown into women who grow up and learn what it is they want in life.  We are all innocent at one time or another and it is the different roads of life we take that make us into the people we are.

You can buy your copy at Eternal Press where you will find various formats for your favorite e-reader.

Is he happily married now or ready to jump the broom again? I’m game! Lol

I’m fascinated by your idea of a vampire on the battlefields. As well as ghosts! And I like what you say about beginning in innocence and evolving. Since each romance novel reminds you of a husband, I wonder if you’ve felt that innocent beginning at each new relationship. Maybe we do with each new person we meet?

Good luck with your novel! It IS great fun writing, I agree.

Big fan of Linda’s. Just learned her book is classed as a “regency romance”, a term I never heard before hooking up with Eternal Press. Loved the book! Linda, you are one fascinating lady. BTW-My dad has got you beat-married 5X!
