I like using index cards for keeping track of scenes and you can do this before, after or during your writing session. You can opt to make notes on anything you wish, a notebook, sticky post it note, gum wrapper or a computer file. It really doesn’t matter.

People all over town and the next town and the next, greet me by name. I nod, ask how they have been and rummage through my mind with questions. Is this a student? Did I marry this person? Are we related? Do they just know who I am for obvious reasons?
