On late Friday morning, I went to the local big box store and bought a new lap-top. It leaves a bigger physical footprint than the one that idles beside me churning out its’ last secret passwords and user names. NaNoWriMo begins at midnight, so this new computer will get a thorough shakedown.
Besides a new and faster model, I have a page at Eternal Press assigned to my book. By this time next week I should be a quarter of my way through this year’s NaNo Project and I’ll be celebrating my first sales of If I Should Die.
The view from my front window includes four new rabbits. The newest, a Dutch cross, mostly white, appeared this morning with the other three thugs. We think these are escapees from someone’s rabbit hutches. They certainly aren’t the native cotton tails.
The pumpkins await carving and I need to make sure the camera is charged and ready for this year’s deer who do handier work than a punk rock group.
The van is out of the shop, making us an official two car family again. Every married couple should have two cars to prevent hideous break-ups.
We’ve been married 16 years, since the 25th and our son turned 16 on the 26th, close one. The parrot, Molly, turned 16 yesterday and NaNo starts tomorrow.
That is really all I have for Samhain. I’ll find the memory card slot on this thing and upload a photo or two in a little bit.
Come back soon and next Sunday, skip the newspaper and buy my book.
