Holy Shit & I thought 2020 was Unbelievable

Seems like just a few weeks ago I was wishing you all a Saner, Happier, More Productive and Healthy 2021.

We all agree that 2020 was a ridiculous year and we were all looking forward to a new year. It was looking good. #Bunkerboy had pretty much checked out. The elections were over. A vaccine was beginning to circulate. People were even taking race relations seriously.

“But nnnnnoooooo, don’t get too comfortable.” Momma Fate warned, “You aint seen nothin’ yet.”.

We suddenly started using words we had only read about and only seen on the evening news, happening in someone else’s unfortunate country.

Sedition.

Sedition, crime against the state. … Though sedition may have the same ultimate effect as treason, it is generally limited to the offense of organizing or encouraging opposition to government in a manner (such as in speech or writing) that falls short of the more dangerous offenses constituting treason.

Britannica

Treason

Treason is “the highest of all crimes”—defined as intentionally betraying one’s allegiance by levying war against the government or giving aid or comfort to its enemies.

Insurrection

Rebellion and insurrection refer specifically to acts of violence against the state or its officers. This distinguishes the crime from sedition, which is the organized incitement to rebellion or civil disorder against the authority of the state. It also separates the crime from treason, which is the violation of allegiance owed to one’s country by betrayal or acting to aid the country’s enemies.

I think it is time to contact your elected officials. Ask them to put their own self interest and fear aside and stand up for the Constitution they swore to defend.

“I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

US Senate Oath of Office

I am going to stop here, I need to get ready to open the Writer’s Chatroom in a little bit and I think I have an apple fritter calling my name.

I will leave you the way I found you. Holy Shit.
