Welcome to this week’s Fiction Friday.  Come back next week to see a new post.

Third Floor Business Owner’s Chair is Missing

Ms. Malloy is always prepared.

Melissa Malloy always comes prepared.  Not that it matters.  Clients and work-mates, alike can be seen standing outside her office door. Waiting.

Some of them pace.  Others lean against the wall and pass the time playing games on their cell phones.

Ms Malloy expects them to be on time. But she always makes them wait.  She doesn’t put out a chair for them.

It was Mr. Catwell, two offices down who stole her chair.

Her door didn’t latch behind her yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Catwell doesn’t intend to give it back.
