The photo of the Bench at the Top of the Steps was where the idea of Ruth began and it is where she sat for her final scene.

    Thank you!

    I did get a shot of the alley near the bench, but it seemed cluttered.

    The statue plays a big part in the book. Editing a description of her was quite a task. Of course I know what she looks like but my reader may not.

    Now, I need to go to other sites that appear in the book.

    Too bad I can’t afford a flight to St. Louis.

    Anyway, thanks for visiting and come back often.
